I didn’t complain or call the front desk because I doubted anything would be done with the hotel being evidently sold out and the great customer service we already encountered. We then were placed in a room with an air conditioner that is barely working and a shower/bath tub with a broken drain. So my family went across the street to the Hilton and explained what happened and they told us this has regularly been happening with customers coming to them after leaving the Hampton, but then they turned us away because they were booked full. The Hampton is under heavy rennovation with active wiring taped to the floor that you have to step over to try to get to the check in hallway. We originally were supposed to stay at a Hampton inn, a sister property to Hilton 2 blocks away, and were so disgusted with the that hotel we cancelled our stay in the hotel lobby.
